FIRENZE, Italy.
c/o Verena Schmidt. verena@dinonet.it
Pregnancy and yoga are a marriage made in heaven.
Learn how to increase strength, flexibility, and peacefulness during gestation and how to make childbirth a spiritual as well as natural celebration of the original love that called your baby planetside -- for mothers, yoga teachers, midwives, doulas, and anyone who cares to heal the Earth by healing birth. Please bring a blanket or yoga mat and wear loose clothing and a smile.
Earth Based Fertility -- Herbs for Conscious Conception
Women are like plants -- we transform light into matter.
How? Medical science describes this process as photosynthesis in the case of plants. When women take the light in their lover's eyes and make a baby, it is called embryogenesis. Yet there is more to this mysterious process. Herbs can help women to become mothers sometimes when science cannot. This workshop will tell you how. Also some of the workshop will focus on fertility awareness and how to space babies apart the way nature intended.

OCTOBER 23-24th
THE ART OF BIRTHING CONFERENCE
New York City, New York
Sponsor - New York Open Center
Jeannine's workshop Prenatal Yoga is on on Saturday, the 23rd.
Her keynote, below, is on the 24th and she will also be on the panel,
"Who Chooses" on Sunday.
Birthkeeper: Word Medicine for Those Who Were Born and Are Yet to Be
Language creates our perception of the world. When it comes to the art of birthing, we tell ourselves into existence as parents and grandparents, midwives and doulas, educators and healers in the way our culture dictates. An examination of the power of language enhances transformation in childbirth management. "In the beginning was the word, and the word was made flesh" has new meaning when applied to the perinatal experience. This presentation will focus on the common words used in obstetrics, childbirth education, and parenting, deconstructing those terms that no longer serve the needs of families in the 21st century. A distillation of transformative words will be suggested for sustaining optimal health from conception through the journey of parenthood.
