I can report that Gannon had a lovely 21st Birthday party with many fellow Aquarians in Nevada City, CA. We have made it past the bottleneck of early February and the Mercury retrograde with only a few computer crises and a failed fuel pump on the family vehicle. Since Auto means "self," it is recommended that we carefully watch our autos for messages. Jeannine and Halley had major dental work
in early February, there were some "hard" and painful lessons as we might expect with Saturn opposite Mars and square the Sun during this time. One of my personal goals with astrology is to attune my self, and as much as is welcome and practical, my family and community to the rhythms of the universal mambo jumbo. As astrologer, one of my tasks for myself is to move ecstatically and harmonically with the cycles from the level of DNA which dances to the tune of cosmic rays all the way up to the music of the visible colors and to the waves of radio and the planetary periods of years, centuries and millennia. The month of March is a preparation to move at the rapid heart-beat pace of the marching band. From the perfected placenta of Pisces the red/white and blue veins of the umbilical chord will play a flag waving march of individual freedom and embryonic exploration in bloody red Aries. Mars moves on a 2 year cycle like the terrible two year old that he rules with his "NO!" mantra. Mars is an especially potent player this month for many reasons. I wish I could say that we are out of the stormy times, but in many ways February and March are representative of the remainder of the year. During this time of equinox and crack between the cycles, several themes are accented: that convey this rhythmic passage: Mutable reformation and fixed resistance - With the opposition of Sag and Gemini and the Sun in Pisces, the emphasis of the mutable signs on reforming will constellate Virgo to help plan the dis-solution as the fourth leg of the Grand Square table. Expect conservative resistance from Saturn in Taurus to this change as the old order tries to hang on, but not for long with movement of the Sun into fiery Aries (and Saturn's re-entry into Gemini just around the corner). Passion and Dispassion - Mars and Venus are in Fire signs arousing each other. This is a time to go for what you value and have your energy follow powerfully.
Mars and Venus are also the symbols for male and female and their harmonious dance suggests passion in the partner-ship or fiery romance on the Love Boat. Expect some pushy women (Venus in Aries) to exert themselves into your life and into the news. The guys (Mars in Sagittarius) will be close behind with their hot, enthusiastic plans and ideals. Mars will be joining forces with transformative Pluto all this month who also turns retro. Mid month adding a deep apocalyptic element to the Fires of Deconstruction. Let's see if we can attune to the larger perspective that Hades' realm imparts and gracefully offer up those parts of our doomed individual projects to the grand plutonium mushroom vision meant to heal All Our Relations. The cool revolution is also in the air with the Aquarian conspiracy figuring into the picture with their version of the "The Truth" and fanning the fire signs into action. Meanwhile fixed air of Aquarius bestows a paradoxical opening square from rebellious Uranus to rigid Saturn in Taurus. Can we vibrate to the song of Maya as Radical and Conservative each play their role in keeping the forms in place?
