CREATION SONG by Rico Baker This is our song -- How Great Spirit, who is the Source of All and Everything, Beyond the Beyond, and Everywhere Present, saw it was time to plant Life on Turquoise Gem, third wandering Light from The Great Blazing One. Our People first vibrated here as the tiny Twin Snake Disk People. Great Spirit taught us to breathe in The Light and exhale pure Air. And it was Good! 
We banded together and Great Spirit invited us to explore every corner of Turquoise Gem, and continue gathering together.Since we did not die then, Great Spirit asked us if we wanted to experience this and we said, “Yes.” And we were shown the Way of Male and Female. We crawled and coiled together celebrating the ancient Twin Snake Dance. As we re-told this ecstatic creation story Within, babies were born and the elderly destructured back to their immortal Disks. It was very, very Good. Great Spirit asked if we were ready to walk upright yet, and we said “Yes,” and we held each other’s hands and Walked. And so we were called the People of the Hip because the Cradle between the Hips could now swing more freely. It could now rock and roll the baby within. And so we made music and danced to celebrate The Movement. And it was extremely Good. Great Spirit asked us if we wanted to gather together even more and we said “Yes,” and so we were invited to carry our special Gifts from all parts of Turquoise Gem to the Great Disk Land, called Turtle Island. We came from Every Direction. Every Person carrying their special Gift to the Convergence. And every Tribe. Light-skinned People, those who had lived in frigid regions, brought amazing inventions, which had helped them to survive The Harshness. The Yellow Tribe brought Methods to align with the MindWisdom of Great Spirit. RedBrown People, those who had lived in MidLands brought knowledge and ceremonies for Dwelling GraceFull on Turquoise Gem. Dark-skinned People from the Blazing regions brought Healing Songs and rhythms to Rock The Hip. And Turtle Island did Rock and Roll along with the Rainbow People of the Hip. And it was exceedingly Good and Beautiful. At the Great Gatherings, Great Spirit In-Formed the People of the Hip that a time was coming when the Metal Horse would run, the Metal Bird would fly, and there would be Metal Whales in the Great Sea. At this time, a piece of The Blazing One would be ignited on Turquoise Gem and many People would be hypnotized by the Dream Box in their Dwellings. Great Spirit invited the People of the Hip to continue gathering together with Brothers and Sisters of all the Tribes -- The Winged, The 4-Legged, The StandingGreen People, The Rock People and All Others of Every Color, to strengthen each other in the Way of the Hip -- that they might swing freely and not become dependent on the Way of Metal. When the Wandering Lights were aligned properly, the People of the Hip did gather greatly on Turtle Island and throughout Turquoise Gem and with the help of their Allies did In-Deed Swing Freely. This is the Good and Beautiful Way of the Hip. For these reasons, Great Spirit has blessed us with the Round Houses and the Ceremonies like the Blazing One Sits Still, so that we may Circle in Council and Re-member this Story of Our Creation -- The Way of Beauty and Freedom.
